Get involved with Roselands FC – Volunteer and make a difference!

At Roselands FC, we’re more than just a club - we’re a community! Volunteering with us is an exciting way to connect with others, learn new skills, and contribute to the success of our teams. Whether you have a knack for cooking, enjoy organising, or want to share your love of soccer, there’s a role for everyone. Plus, some roles even include payment!

Canteen and BBQ superstars

Do you love the sizzle of the grill or know your flat whites from your macchiatos? Our canteen and BBQ are vital for fundraising and creating a welcoming game day experience. If you’re handy with tongs, enjoy customer service, or simply want to lend a hand, we’d love to have you join the team!

This is also a fantastic opportunity for teenagers looking to build their resumes or gain real-life work experience. Volunteering at the canteen or BBQ helps young people develop customer service skills, teamwork, and responsibility—all while contributing to their community. It’s a great stepping stone for future job applications and an easy way to make a positive impact!

Ground crew heroes

Every game day needs a bit of magic behind the scenes! From setting up fields, ropes, and goals to ensuring everything runs smoothly, your help keeps the action going. If you’re efficient, hands-on, and ready to make a big impact, this role is perfect for you.

Coaches and managers – Lead the way

Passionate about soccer? Join us as a coach or manager! We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to guide our junior and senior teams. Training and development opportunities are provided through Football Canterbury and Football NSW, so you’ll have plenty of support along the way. Whether you’re a seasoned coach or new to the role, your efforts will directly shape the future of our players.

At Roselands FC, volunteering is not just about giving your time—it's about being part of a supportive, community-driven environment that helps develop young players, encourages personal growth, and creates lasting memories.

Here’s what some of our coaches have to say about their rewarding experiences:

Coach Ridwan, Under 9s: "Keeps me moving, active and able to see and coach the team to train and play as I was a player for Roselands back in the day. Basically, giving back to Roselands FC."

Coach Praveen, Under 13’s: "It is fun and rewarding most parts, but the greatest enjoyment is seeing the team working hard to improve their skills, working as one, playing to their strengths, and, importantly, playing fair and enjoying themselves. I also played for Roselands, and it is rewarding to assist where possible."

Coach Rob, Under 10’s: "Coaching a junior team can be quite fulfilling. When your responsibility is to mold and shape the future Messi's or Ronaldo's, there are no limits as to what can be taught. Just be sure to keep it interesting. Your rewards will be laughter, trust, and beams of confidence from the players."

Coach Ian, Under 11’s: "It’s all about the kids and watching them build life skills like being part of a team and all focusing on the common goal. I also enjoy meeting the parents and watching the kids grow into players of Roselands and ensuring that they all have fun."

Referees and Game Leaders – Take the Field

Help the game run smoothly and ensure everyone has a great time! Referees and game leaders are crucial to maintaining the fun and fair play of every match. Training is available, so don’t worry if you’re new to the whistle—we’ll help you develop the skills you need.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is incredibly rewarding! It’s a chance to give back, meet amazing people, and be a key part of the Roselands FC family. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference in keeping our club strong and vibrant.
